[adsense250itp]Call of Duty Ghosts will receive the Onslaught DLC on Jan. 28 for Xbox One and Xbox 360, Activision announced.
Onslaught, the first add-on content pack for Call of Duty Ghosts, will include four new multiplayer maps, a new weapon, an Extinction level and the ability to play as famous murderer Michael Myers.
Fog, a new map set on the dark banks of an eerie lake, is built in the spirit of classic horror films. Players who complete a specific Field Order in Fog will become Michael Myers, the iconic villain from the Halloween movie franchise. As Myers, players will be equipped with an ax and the Halloween theme music will play.
New multiplayer maps also include the California boardwalk-based Bay View, Containment, which takes place in a war-torn Mexican village, and the Scrapyard-inspired map Ignition. All maps are small to medium in size to encourage classic Call of Duty run-and-gun gameplay.
The DLC also includes the first part of a four-part Extinction narrative. Nightfall, the first episode, will feature two new characters, two new alien species and an exclusive weapon.
Onslaught will also contain access to the half-assault rifle, half-sniper weapon Maverick.
Owners of the Call of Duty Ghosts Season Pass will get the Onslaught DLC at no additional charge. In addition, Season Pass holders will receive the upcoming Devastation, Invasion and Nemesis content packs.
While Xbox owners will get access to Onslaught first, the DLC will also be released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC on an unannounced date.
Activision released a trailer alongside the announcement. The trailer for Call of Duty Ghosts Onslaught DLC can be viewed below.
