OlliOlli is Releasing on the PS Vita this Month

OlliOlli is a 2D skateboarding game that made a splash at E3 2013 with its unique interpretation of the sport on Sony’s handheld. It combines the simple elements of endless runners and their one-life gameplay with the complexity of a series like Tony Hawk. Featuring over 120 tricks and grinds, 250 challenges, a hundred levels and four gameplay modes, players are rewarded for pulling off risky moves with precise accuracy. Chaining combos together boosts the player’s score but will be lost if the landing results in a crash.

A career mode features 50 levels packed with challenges and multiple levels of difficulty. “Spots” can be unlocked in every level  which opens up Spots Mode, where players compete for the highest score in the leaderboards in King of the Spot. After completing all 250 challenges in OlliOlli, RAD mode is unlocked and anything that isn’t a perfect grind and landing will result in a slam. The Daily Grind mode offers one new Spot every 24 hours. Players can practice the spot as many times as they want but only get one shot to set their score. Daily Grinds are sure to feed players’ thirst for a challenge and competition.

Roll7 developed and self-published OlliOlli. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe funded the title as a part of Shahid Ahmad’s Strategic Content Drive. To celebrate the announcement of the release date, Roll7 has released a new trailer for OlliOlli which shows off the gameplay and hand-drawn pixel art; check it out below.
