Next Borderlands 2 DLC is Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt
Gearbox Software has been busy since the release of their highly successful sequel to their surprise hit, Borderlands. It has come as no surprise then that the third of four promised downloadable content packs for Borderlands 2 has been leaked to the public.
The DLC is titled Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt and was leaked last week by fans on Gearbox’s official forums. It started with the discovery of three new trophies that have popped up for the game; a bronze trophy for completing a mission entitled The Fall of Nakayama, which is presumably the final story mission for the DLC, a silver trophy for finishing all the side missions and another silver for discovering all the new locations.
As always, the question on players’ minds is what element will the story revolve around. The answer comes in the form of a new unnamed antagonist who leads a tribe of savages in the jungle and likely has some plan of sorts that players will be tasked with stopping.
Recent rumors have suggested some smaller DLC packs for Borderlands will be available soon. The Domination Pack, Supremacy Pack and Madness Pack are all said to feature new skins and heads for all playable characters. This, combined with the news of a sixth playable character in the works, has made for a very exciting week for fans of Gearbox’s Pandora bullet-fest.
No official release date has been announced but players can expect Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt to be available sometime during the holiday season. Borderlands 2 additional content has been released in very quick succession thus far.As the third of four promised DLC packs, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt will be available for Season Pass holders at no charge.
The latest DLC for Borderlands 2, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, released last month.
