OMNI SURROUND 5.1

Creative Technology Ltd announced a new high performance Sound Card this week, the Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1. So what can this new sound card do? A lot according to Creative.

The Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1 will enhance audio playback via Creative’s SBX Pro Studio suite of processing technologies which will provide an enhanced playback. Also included, a 600 ohm headphone amplifier. The amplifier will give monitoring headphones power to reproduce low frequency tones enabling listeners to hear better audio detail. In addition, Creative’s new sound card is designed to assist the new generation of audio content creators whether they be YouTube musicians or podcasters. The Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1 includes upgraded recording capabilities with a built-in dual array microphone that records clear audio. Any recorded audio can be further scrubbed and enhanced with Creative’s CrystalVoice technologies.

Installation of the Omni Surround 5.1 is easy. Hook it up to a laptop, Mac or PC via a USB cable and the necessary installation information is transferred to the device of your choice. Creative’s Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1 sound cards will be available for purchase in October and will retail for $79.99.
