Watch Dogs pc requirements

There are some significant games coming out for the final week of May. The latest episode of The Wolf Among Us releases this week on multiple platforms. Monster Monpiece hits Vita while Among the Sleep finally launches for PC, Mac and Linux. But what everyone is salivating over is Watch Dogs and Mario Kart 8.

Watch Dogs – PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC – May 27

The highly anticipated, often delayed Watch Dogs is finally hitting store shelves. While the initial delay of Ubisoft’s newest IP certainly ruined the party for the new-gen console launch, it is exciting that gamers will get their chance to explore Chicago as Aiden Pearce this week. Keeping track of the multitude of exclusive DLC at different retailers is an exercise best left for Russell Crowe, but the PlayStation versions contain 60 minutes of bonus content. Whether Watch Dogs is truly the next great thing from Ubisoft won’t be known until you rip off the celophane, pop the disc in and start hacking on May 27.

Mario Kart 8 – Wii U – May 30

Mario Kart 8 marks the return of Nintendo’s popular kart racer to home consoles. It has been six years since Mario Kart graced a home console. The latest in the series boasts a ton of new tracks, racers and items all rendered in HD graphics for the first time.

With Super Smash Bros. Wii U not expected to release until Winter 2014, Mario Kart 8 stands as Nintendo’s major push to sell the Wii U. As a result, those eyeing to pick up a Wii U system just for Mario Kart 8 can get a deal in the Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle. The few and the proud Wii U owners can pick up the game by itself on May 30.

Among the Sleep – PC, Mac, Linux – May 29

Among the Sleep is a creepy first-person survival-horror game in which players take control of a two-year-old child. This young child goes to sleep one night only to have odd and mysterious things begin to happen.

Aided by a trusted teddy bear, the child ventures forth into diverse environments populated by surreal creatures. The game is the result of a successful Kickstarter campaign. A year after reaching funding, it will finally be released on May 29.

Monster Monpiece – PS Vita – May 27

Monster Monpiece is the latest game from Compile Heart, the makers of the Hyperdimension Neptunia and Mugen Souls franchises. The game is hard to describe without sounding kind of like a creep. It is a card battle game featuring four different types of cards that players must utilize. The cards are mythological creatures reimagined as women. A major mechanic of the game requires players to use different levels of touch in order to level up cards. The game’s rub mechanics seem off-putting, but the card battle premise and gameplay have potential. Be careful of putting Monster Monpiece and Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F on the same Vita memory card when it releases on May 27.
