Kirby Star Allies puts a new riff on traditional Kirby combat by allowing Kirby to throw friend hearts at enemies to recruit up to four of them to his team. You can play alone with AI controlled allies or with up to three other friends controlling allies for fun co-op action.

By utilizing a wide variety of new and old copy abilities like Sword, Bomb, Artist, Cleaning, Spider, etc. and your allies’ skill you can overcome any enemy and tackle the toughest bosses. There is a huge creativity in combat by combining Kirby’s copy abilities and your allies’ skills to perform powerful combo skills like a flaming sword or electrified boomerang.

Teamwork is hugely important whether its pull down a four-person leaver to complete a level, or standing a friend platform to perform impressive friend actions. When you complete a level the Dream Palace opens allowing you to summon Dream Friends, which are legendary Kirby characters like King Dedede.

Amiibo support allows players to unlock illustration pieces and helpful in-game items. When using Kirby amiibos you can unlock two pieces and additional items, while compatible amiibos unlock a single piece and items.
