GTA 5 artwork featuring land and water vehicles was released by Rockstar on the official company blog.
The images, titled Cash and Carry, depict two of the game’s three playable characters.
Michael is shown riding a Speedophile 2000–a variation of a Jet-Ski–at sea with the Los Santos version of the Santa Monica Pier in the background.
Meanwhile, Franklin is getting things done on land in the other image. He is riding a dirt bike through the dry riverbeds of Los Santos while holding an uzi. A police helicopter and plane are seen flying in the background.
The images are purely for art purposes and do not come from in-game footage. Rockstar did release gameplay screenshots from the game last month.
Gamers who have seen the cover art for Grand Theft Auto 5 will recognize the two images. The artwork is featured on the GTA 5 box art, which was unveiled earlier this month.
There is not much to learn about the upcoming open-world title from the new artwork. In addition to the vehicles pictured, players will have many other modes of transportation to explore Los Santos and Blaine County.
The images are available to download for free as desktop wallpapers, backgrounds, avatars and more via the official Rockstar website.
GTA 5 is scheduled to release Sept. 17 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A petition started by fans urging the developer to bring the game to PC has garnered attention online.
