Halo 4 Preview from E3 2012

Halo 4 for Xbox 360

This week’s video game releases include: the latest game in the Halo series with Halo 4, a fun-filled racing adventure with LittleBigPlanet Karting, the ability to revive and beautify Echo Village with Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, an authentic racing experience with NASCAR the Game: Inside Line, a fun-for-all brawl with When Vikings Attack, and fight off the Reapers once again with the Mass Effect Trilogy.

Halo 4 – Xbox 360

Rejoin Master Chief, who has returned to face his destiny 5 years after the events of Halo 3.  With the universe hanging in the balance, Halo 4 brings a new level of richness to its famed multiplayer.  Known as Infinity Multiplayer, this new element of Halo 4 lets the player explore the story of the UNSC Infinity, which will serve as a core part of Halo 4’s multiplayer experience.  Infinity Multiplayer also includes Spartan Ops, which will be an episodic addendum to Halo 4’s storyline.  Halo 4 will also feature all-new graphics, the ability to share a split-screen with up to three friends, and an expansive new set of armor, weapons, and vehicles.  Halo 4 is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 on Nov. 6.  There will also be a limited edition Xbox 360 console which includes the game released on the same day.

LittleBigPlanet Karting – PlayStation 3

[adsense250itp]Save the world of Sackboys and Sackgirls everywhere in this fun-for-all kart racing adventure.  LittleBigPlanet Karting offers a number of refurbished features, such as an upgraded level editor which will allow for more comprehensive level construction.  If players want to create more than a simple racetrack, they can also create their own rules, weapons, and tracks that blur the boundaries of racing.  Players will also be able to share their creations with others on the PlayStation Network.  LittleBigPlanet Karting also promises hours of fun with expedition challenges, boss battles, mini games, and so much more.  LittleBigPlanet Karting is scheduled for release on Playstation 3 on Nov. 6.

Harvest Moon: A New Beginning – Nintendo 3DS

Many of the residents of Echo Village have moved away, and now it’s up to the player to bring them back by breathing new life into the town.  Harvest Moon: A New Beginning offers everything from a fully customizable character and farm to the option to build topiaries and other things to spruce up Echo Village.  The player can also charm any number of bachelors and bachelorettes, craft up to 100 different kinds of items in their studio, as well as participate in festivals and complete customization of both farm and town.  Harvest Moon: A New Beginning is scheduled for release on the Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 6.

NASCAR the Game: Inside Line – PS3/Xbox 360/Wii

Featuring all 23 licensed racetracks, NASCAR the Game offers the genuine racing experience that so many fans have come to know and love.  Featuring a variety of challenges such as some of the most suspenseful moments in Sprint Cup history, Inside Line also offers head to head challenges and race sessions.  Players will also have access to a revamped Paint Booth, which allows for highly detailed paint and decal designs.  NASCAR the Game: Inside Line is scheduled for release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii on Nov. 6.

When Vikings Attack – PS Vita/PSN

Fight back against the Viking hordes that have shown up 1,200 years too late to the plundering party in your town!  Players must gather together their own army of citizens, which will enable them to lift and throw heavy objects such as cars to inflict major damage on the insurgent horde.  When Vikings Attack supports play between the Vita and the PlayStation 3, and players can go head to head against others to beat the opposition into submission.  When Vikings Attack is scheduled for release on PlayStation Vita and the PlayStation Network on Nov. 6.

Mass Effect Trilogy – Xbox 360/PC/PS3

Fall head over heels all over again for the Mass Effect universe in this solid game collection.  Featuring 75 hours of compelling sci-fi story, access to Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer, and the ability to build a personalized arsenal, the story is yours to shape.  Mass Effect Trilogy is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 and PC on Nov. 6, with a later release for the PlayStation 3 scheduled for Dec. 4.
