New Game Releases: July 15th to July 22nd, 2012

This week there aren’t too many major releases coming out on the gaming landscape but a few of these should actually sell pretty well. Let’s take a look at the new releases for the week of July 15th to July 22nd, 2012 which covers a new game on Nintendo 3DS and a couple of games available on PlayStation Network.

Heroes of Ruin – 3DS

Develop your own mercenary or team up with a friend in this brawling fight for goods and glory. Boasting drop in/drop out gameplay, as well as a constantly updated inventory from interacting with other players, Heroes of Ruin promises dynamic gameplay as well as gorgeous environments to explore. This new rough and tumble fighting game also supports four player co-op, downloadable daily challenges and the ability to track your progress against others. Heroes of Ruin is scheduled for release on the Nintendo 3DS on July 17th.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD – XBLA/Playstation 3/PC

Fans of the original Tony Hawk Pro Skater games will be excited to hear that the first two games of the series are being remade into this new and updated version. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD promises players a number of gameplay modes, such as Big Head Survival where the player must perform tricks before their skater’s head gets too big. Pro Skater also offers online features such as two minute battles for who can get the highest score, Big Head Elimination and Free Skate. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD is scheduled for release on Xbox Live July 18th, with versions for PS3 and PC coming a few weeks later.

Dyad – PSN

Players craving a more indie game experience will be excited to hear Dyad will be hitting the Playstation Network later on this week. Mixing the elements of racing, puzzle solving, and a shooter all into one gameplay experience that flows seamlessly, Dyad promises a colorful, engaging experience for all players. Dyad is scheduled for release on the Playstation Network July 17th.
