New Game Releases: January 6-12

This week’s video game releases include: new ways for families to interact and learn together with Kinect Nat Geo TV: Season 2 and Kinect Sesame Street TV: Season 2, a post-apocalyptic brawling shooter with Anarchy Reigns, and a classic shooter gone portable with Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable.

Kinect Nat Geo TV: Season 2 – Xbox 360

For gamers with children, Kinect Nat Geo TV is fun for the whole family that will inspire curiosity and a desire to learn.  Acting as a follow up to Season 1, Kinect Nat Geo TV: Season 2 uses the Kinect to engage the viewer with programs from National Geographic.  Featuring eight new episodes, Kinect Nat Geo TV’s new season brings entire new ways for parents and children alike to interact with and learn about nature. Kinect Nat Geo TV: Season 2 is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 on Jan. 7.

Kinect Sesame Street TV: Season 2 – Xbox 360

Kids of all ages can jump right into the magic of Sesame Street with the latest season from Kinect Sesame Street TV.  Featuring a variety of ways to interact with the characters from the show, kids will also be able to learn and play all at the same time.  Kinect Sesame Street TV: Season 2 is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 on Jan. 7.

Anarchy Reigns – PS3/Xbox 360

Human is pitched against cyborg; cyborg is pitched against human.  The fight for survival is fierce, and with access to eight different characters with both signature skills and weapons, players will have to bring their A game to make it out alive.  Featuring a comprehensive multiplayer system, Anarchy Reigns offers a number of different modes such as: Survival Mode, Death Match, and Battle Royale.  Players will also have access to a single-player campaign and challenges that will test both reflexes and skill.  Anarchy Reigns is scheduled for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Jan. 8.

Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable – PS Vita

Having come a long way from the original Earth Defense Force 2017, the game has been entirely re-mastered for the PlayStation Vita.  Fans of the original game will be interested to hear that on top of the original game, Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable has seven new levels and a multiplayer system that can support up to four players.  Earth Defense Force will also feature co-op and head-to-head modes.  Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable is scheduled for release on the PlayStation Vita on Jan. 8.
