New Game Releases

This week’s video game releases include a boy’s quest to save his dead mother from a parallel world with Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, a side-scrolling puzzle solver with The Cave, and the latest themed release of new furniture and gear with The Sims 3: 70s, 80s and 90s Stuff Pack.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch – PS3

Jump into an adventure of magic and mayhem with Oliver, a boy who must embark on a quest for knowledge.  In order to save his dead mother from the strange world of Ni no Kuni, Oliver must grow both as a magician and as a person to successfully defeat the White Witch.  Players will be able to travel in-between the real world and its parallel, Ni no Kuni.  Fans of Studio Ghibli’s animation style will be pleased to see that the studio has had a hand in the production of Ni no Kuni, and Oliver’s story promises to be as charming and adventurous as any of Studio Ghibli’s films.  Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is scheduled for release on PlayStation 3 on January 22.

The Cave – PS3/ Wii U/Xbox 360/PC

Choose up to three characters from a cast of seven in a side-scrolling cave-crawling adventure where each character has their own unique personality and history.  Players will be pitched against a number of puzzles which will require some outside of the box thinking.  Featuring both solo and co-op gameplay, The Cave reveals new secrets with different combinations of characters used with each play through.  The Cave is scheduled for release on PlayStation Network and the Wii U eShop on January 22 with a release scheduled for Xbox 360 and PC on January 23.

The Sims 3: 70s, 80s and 90s Stuff Pack – PC

Sims 3 players looking for more funky furniture and awesome accent pieces for their Sims homes and lifestyles would do well to invest in the 70s, 80s, and 90s Stuff Pack.  Featuring everything from 70s fashion to arcade games straight out of the 80s, the latest installation to the Sims 3 universe is bound to bring the spirit of those decades into the lives of the Sims.  The Sims 3: 70s, 80s and 90s Stuff Pack is scheduled for release on PC on January 22.
