New Game Releases: December 23-29
Kinect Sports Gems – XBLA
For gamers who are looking for more of a physically active challenge for the Xbox, the newest three Kinect Sports Gems games will hitting XBLA later on this week. The newest installments are: Reaction Rally, Field Goal Contest, and Prize Driver. When it comes to Reaction Rally, players will be challenged to keep both red and yellow tennis balls in play. But there’s a catch: the ball can only be hit by a corresponding color racket. In Field Goal Contest, players will be given three chances to kick a ball as hard as they can. For how far and high the ball goes, there will be a better score. But if the player misses, one of the three chances is taken away. In Prize Driver, players will hit items that are labeled with red and green price tags off of a conveyor belt. The goal is to hit a star in the background; if players hit the items labeled in green with enough speed and accuracy, the price from the tag will be added to their score. Kinect Sports Gems is scheduled to appear on Xbox Live on December 25.
Mega Man – 3DS/Nintendo eShop
For fans of the Mega Man series living in the United States, being unable to access the classic series from the 3DS has been something of a problem. Beginning this week, the first six Mega Man games will start to be released for the 3DS. While no price has as yet been set in stone, fans of the Megan Man games can anticipate the appearance of the first game on the Nintendo eShop on December 27.
