Destiny 2: Forsaken

Bungie gave Destiny 2 fans a glimpse of the new exotic armor and weapons they will be playing with in the upcoming Forsaken expansion.

Destiny 2: Forsaken launches with a new campaign and new activities to keep players hooked into the exotic life of being a Guardian. Glimpses of the expansion’s new Gambit mode and Guardian supers have already shown that Forsaken will add more content to Destiny 2 than the previous Curse of Osiris and Warmind DLCs did.

Destiny has always been a power fantasy for players wishing to wield space magic and unique guns. Exotic equipment is the ultimate expression of that power, giving Guardians abilities and buffs that no other pieces provide. The Two-Tailed Fox is a rocket launcher that has the ability to fire two rockets at once in separate directions. The Antaeus Wards is a Titan Exotic boots that reflects projectiles when sliding. The Sixth Coyote is a Hunter chest piece that grants a double dodge. The Malfesance hand cannon creates an explosion after five bullets hit a target. The Black Talon is a sword that fires projectiles. One Thousand Voices is a rifle that shoots out an exploding beam of fire. Chromatic Fire is a Warlock chest piece that creates elemental explosions from precision kinetic kills.

Forsaken also introduces a new weapon type with bows. The Trinity Ghoul triggers an electrical storm of arrows upon precision kills. The Wish-Ender allows the player to see through whiles while targeting and its arrows pierce through targets. While this trailer likely only shows a small portion of Destiny 2’s new exotics, it’s hard not to be excited about news toys to play with.

Destiny 2: Forsaken releases on Sept. 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
