NBA 2K13 Bringing Back Scottie Pippen, Allen Iverson
The seven-time NBA All-Star will be playable as a member of both the 1992 Men’s U.S. Olympic Basketball Team and his former NBA squad, the Chicago Bulls.
The loss of Pippen was considered a major blow to the game as the inclusion of the Dream Team and chance to match up the 92 Olympic team with this year’s Men’s Senior National Team was a major feature for basketball fans. Without Pippen, the dream matchup was still only a dream.
Pippen is also included in the game as a member of the Bulls. 2K Sports has been scarce on details regarding their upcoming basketball simulation but have confirmed that classic teams will be returning.
Allen Iverson, who graced the cover of the NBA 2K series the first five years it released, will be returning to the game as a playable legend for the first time. Screenshots unveiled Iverson of the Philadelphia 76ers, Shaquille O’Neal of the Orlando Magic, Shawn Kemp of the Seattle Supersonics, and Alonzo Mourning of the Charlotte Hornets as just a few of the historic players who will be featured in the game.
No announcement has been made regarding the capacity of classic teams. NBA 2K11 featured historic teams in the Jordan Challenge mode, which highlighted important events in Michael Jordan’s career. NBA 2K12 included classic teams but gamers merely had to beat a team in order to unlock them for use.
It has been reported that classic teams will be available for online matches for the first time in NBA 2K13.
NBA 2K13 is set to release on October 2 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U, Windows PC, and PSP.
