NBA 2K13 and MLB 2K13 will be packaged together in a combo pack available alongside the release of MLB 2K13 on March 5, 2K Sports announced.

The NBA 2K13/MLB 2K13 Combo Pack will release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for $79.99.

Amazon is currently selling NBA 2K13 for $39.99, meaning players who purchase the 2K13 bundle will save $20.

MLB 2K13 is the latest baseball sim from 2K Sports. The game features Tampa Bay Rays star pitcher David Price on the cover and the return of the Perfect Game Challenge.

It was widely expected the baseball offering from 2K Sports and developer Visual Concepts would be placed on the disabled list this year as the exclusive third-party licensing deal between MLB and Take-Two ended on Dec. 31. A surprise deal revived the franchise, giving Xbox 360 owners a chance to play an officially licensed MLB product.

Take-Two claims to have lost more than $30 million in each year of the previous agreement with MLB.

Meanwhile, the company is thriving with NBA 2K13. The popular basketball sim has no competition on the market but continues to impress the sports gaming community.

NBA 2K13 released on Oct. 2. The edition of the original Dream Team and enhancements to the MyCareer mode made it one of the best games the NBA 2K series has offered thus far. The Xbox 360 and PC version of the game each received a 91 percent score from Gaming Illustrated in their respective reviews. It also won Sports Game of the Year in Gaming Illustrated’s Game of the Year Awards.
