Family-friendly Natsume Inc. has announced a new Harvest Moon game titled Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley. The game is to premiere on the Nintendo 3DS and will be featured at this year’s E3 in Los Angeles. Natsume Inc. promises that new players and old fans alike will both want to try out the latest edition to the Harvest Moon franchise for a multitude of reasons.

Newcomers to the series are being promised a welcoming to the “unique and charming world that is Harvest Moon,” while long-time fans will enjoy getting back to the core of Harvest Moon and experiencing the new game and how “it innovates in a way no Harvest Moon game ever has.”

Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley is promising a fully customizable world in which cultural crops can be replicated to allow players of all nationalities to enjoy a unique playthrough.

Quick Take

Harvest Moon is an incredibly popular franchise that has been in need of a serious overhaul for some time. While the series certainly hasn’t faded in recent years, the promise of a whole new ballgame for the series is certain to turn heads at this year’s E3 and also get Nintendo some spotlight among such powerhouses as Destiny and company.

You are aware that this isn’t even a real Harvest Moon game, right? Harvest Moon is just the name Natsume used when they localized the Bokujou Monogatari series. This is a new game not related to that series at all. The next game in the real series known as Harvest Moon is Story of Seasons.

Not trying to be rude or anything, but I wouldn’t want anyone to be misled.
