EA Sports announced the new courses, golfers and content that will be coming to Rory McIlroy PGA Tour over the next few months.
By March, the game will be getting four additional courses, two new playable professional golfers and four new game modes. All content will be available for free.
The courses will be three recreations of real-life country clubs and one over-the-top fantasy course called Treasure Island. The three real courses set to debut in Rory McIlroy PGA Tour are Quail Hollow in North Carolina, TPC Stadium at PGA West and Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania.
Dustin Johnson and Henrik Stenson are the two golf pros joining the list of playable characters, a small roster that is in desperate need of new additions.
The game’s newest game modes will be Skins, Four Ball, Alternate Shot and Best Ball.
EA Sports already made East Lake Golf Club and TPC Scottsdale courses available for free after launch.
Rory McIlroy PGA Tour felt somewhat like an incomplete game upon its release. Given the two-year development window, this was unacceptable. The free DLC makes up for that in some ways, but these downloadable add-ons should have already been included with the main game at launch.
