Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

Konami announced the Spring 2014 release of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. The game, a prologue leading to the events in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Developed using Kojima Productions’ FOX Engine, Ground Zeroes will introduce players to new mechanics, game design, day and night cycles, and weather conditions that will dynamically alter gameplay.

The “concentrated” story focuses on protagonist Big Boss, whose task is to stealthily infiltrate a remote Cuban prison camp on a rescue mission. The missions in the game have been designed to ease gamers into the new gameplay controls and dynamics which are going to be central to the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain experience.

[adsense250itp]Ground Zeroes will be offered for download on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, or in store for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, for $30 retail. A download only option on current-generation consoles will be available for $20.

The Phantom Pain will pick up where Ground Zeroes leaves off and immerse players into a “new breed of open-world stealth action”. The game will also be available on current and next generation consoles. Release date and pricing for The Phantom Pain have yet to be announced.
