Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will release sometime this June exclusively for PlayStation 3, Konami announced.

In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear franchise, Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will include Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions and Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition.

The PS3-exclusive collection will also come with two Metal Gear-based digital graphic novels by Ashley Wood.

“We wanted to give Metal Gear Solid fans the opportunity to experience the series from beginning to end, all on one console,” said president of Konami Tomoyuki Tsuboi. “With the collection’s multiple titles, players can truly see how Metal Gear Solid evolved into the critically acclaimed and beloved franchise it is today.”

Metal Gear, the first game designed by Hideo Kojima, originally released in 1987 for the MSX2 home computer in Japan. The first game in the Metal Gear Solid franchise launched in 1998 for the PlayStation.

The latest game in the long-running franchise, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, was officially announced last month after months of speculation involving the trailer for The Phantom Pain.

Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection is expected to launch in June in North America and South America. Pricing details have yet to be revealed.
