Medal of Honor: Warfighter

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is coming to consoles and PCs tomorrow so many people will be waiting in anticipation for another great first-person shooter. However, what is the best way to play such a brilliant FPS? Well, many gamers would argue the only way to play a game like Medal of Honor: Warfighter is with a mouse and keyboard on a high-end gaming PC.

The game’s story is the usual one of the main character being a crack operative handpicked to complete a mission with no margin for error. The story was written and developed by actual Tier-1 Operatives, inspired by actual events and takes place in real locations with real enemies. Potentially, this game could be a Modern Warfare killer. PC gamers need to know what specifications are needed to run the game on PC.

Minimum PC system requirements:

In order to run Medal of Honor: Warfighter on a PC, the minimum system requirements are:

CPU: 2.2 GHz dual core Intel or AMD CPU with 2.4 MB cache

RAM: 2GB of system memory

Graphics: DirectX 10 compatible card with 512 MB RAM or more, Nvidia 8-series or AMD Radeon 3000 series graphics cards

Operating system: Windows Vista, DirectX compatible sound card, 8 GB of hard drive space

Recommended PC system requirements:

The recommended system requirements are a bit more meaty, of course. However, they are not out of the scope of most modern PCs or laptops. The recommended requirements are:

CPU: 2.4 GHz quad core Intel or AMD processor, Core i5 or Phenom X4 or equivalent

RAM: 4GB

Graphics: DirectX 10 or DX11 compatible card with 1GB of video memory, Nvidia 400-series or AMD 5000-series

Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit, DirectX compatible sound card, 8 GB of hard drive space

As can be seen in the specifications, Medal of Honor: Warfighter can run on low-end systems. As is always the case with first-person shooters, the more RAM available on the PC, the faster the processor, and the better the graphics card, the better the game will run. Reading through various forums, reports say that the beta version of Medal of Honor: Warfighter can be run on far lower specs than the minimum specs recommended. As always, this is achieved by lowering the screen resolution and turning off some of the special effects or altering the draw distance.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter will be released on Oct. 23, so clear your hard-drive, upgrade your RAM, clean up your mouse and keyboard and prepare to do battle!
