Mario Golf, Donkey Kong Country 3D Announced for Nintendo 3DS

Mario Golf: World Tour

Nintendo announced a number of new games for the 3DS during the latest Nintendo Direct video conference, including new Mario Golf and Donkey Kong Country titles.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf will be releasing for 3DS on June 9. The game will launch in Eurompe on June 14. During the conference, it was suggested a new online feature is being added to the North American version of the game.

Mario Golf: World Tour is set to release for Nintendo’s handheld console sometime this summer. Developed by Camelot, Mario Golf: World Tour features both traditional courses and links inspired by settings in the Mushroom Kingdom. The game features easy-to-use controls and a deep golfing experience. The roster of playable characters includes Bowser, Donkey Kong, Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi.

Also announced for sometime this summer, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will arrive for 3DS. The hit Wii remake of Donkey Kong Country is getting remade once again, this time in 3D for the portable system. A 3D video showcasing Donkey Kong Country 3D is available now in the Nintendo eShop for free.

In addition, several downloadable titles will the Nintendo eShop for 3DS soon.

Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move is a new action-puzzle game featuring pint size Marios. The game has no release date in North America and is scheduled to debut in Europe in the second quarter of 2013.

Kersploosh! is a puzzle game in which players must conquer a stone’s fall to the bottom of a well. The game includes obstacles that must be avoided and multiple wells with different paths. Kersploosh! is scheduled to release March 7.

HarmoKnight, from developer Game Freak, is expected to launch on March 28. A demo for the rhythm platformer is set to arrive on March 14.

Armadillo cowboy Dillon is back for Dillon’s Rolling Western: The Last Ranger. The tower-defense game combines traditional gameplay elements with action moves. The game expands upon the previous installment of the series by adding new features, including a new ally recruit system and a moving train to defend. Dillon’s Rolling Western: The Last Ranger is set to release on April 11.
