The MLG Championship is heading to Columbus, Ohio to the Greater Columbus Convention Center from Nov. 22-24. Teams and players from around the world will be competing over three days. The tournament will feature two games, Call of Duty: Ghosts and the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game, Dota 2. The competition will also be streamed at www.MLG.tv starting on Nov. 22 at 5pm est.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will utilize the new Broadcaster Mode with eSports customization options. 108 teams will compete for a $50,000 prize pool and first place will win $20,000. Teams competing in the Call of Duty: Ghosts tournament include: compLexity, UniTE Gaming, Curse Las Vegas, OpTic Gaming, and others.
Dota 2 will feature a progressive prize pool that will start at $108,000. Fans can help increase the prize pool until Nov. 24 by purchasing the Dota 2 MLG Championship Bundle. Teams from all over the world will compete in this tournament including; The Alliance, Na’vi, Fnatic, Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, Speed Gaming and more. In addition to the prize money, NA teams will compete for spots in MLG’s 2014 NA Dota 2 League, which will begin in early 2014.
At the site, sponsors will be selling and promoting merchandise, with sponsors such as BenQ, Dr Pepper, Full Sail University, and iBuyPower. MLG will also be selling its official MLG merchandise. The tournament starts on Nov 22, and the broadcast starts on 5pm est on that day.
