Mafia 3 DLC and Season Pass Details Revealed

/ Sep 6th, 2016 No Comments

Mafia 3 is set to release Oct. 7 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and while the game is in its final stages, developers are already looking forward to their plans for the game post release.

In a post on the game’s official website, 2K Games and developer Hangar 13 unveiled plans for free and paid content that will release after the game’s launch.

As part of the free content, all players will be able to download new clothing options for Lincoln, the main character. In addition, the golden weapons pack featuring the “Judge, Jury and Executioner” will be free 30 days after the game’s release.

Extra vehicle customization options, including new tires, paint jobs and license plate frames, will also be free to everyone who has the game, along with bonus races. More free content is expected to be added to the game at a later date.

Car customization options will be part of free and paid Mafia III DLC.

In terms of story DLC, there are three major content packs planned for Mafia 3. The first, “Faster, Baby!,” has some political context. This DLC sees Lincoln team up with an old flame to fight in New Bordeaux to fight off a local sheriff who is using his power to stop civil rights activists.

“Sign of the Times” requires players to put a stop to a cult responsible for a string of recent killings. “Stones Unturned” explores a bit of Lincoln’s past. He must work with a CIA agent to put a final end to a beef that takes Lincoln to a war-torn Vietnam.

All three story DLC packs will also include exclusive weapons, vehicles, outfits and races, as well as new side activities.

Players can purchase a season pass for $29.99 to get all three Mafia 3 DLC packs, which represents about a $10 savings from buying all DLC separately. The deluxe edition of Mafia 3, which costs $79.99, includes the season pass along with the main game.

No release date for the DLC packs has been announced.
