EA Sports confirmed the expected by announcing there will be a new version of its annualized football title. Madden NFL 19 will release Aug. 10 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the company revealed.

Madden 19 will bring changes to two modes that have remained largely the same over the past few years: Franchise and Madden Ultimate Team.

Franchise mode will give players more ability to play how they want by allowing offensive and defensive schemes to be changed and custom draft classes to be created. A deep progression system “based on authentic positional archetypes” will allow franchise owners to choose between trying to win now or focusing on the future.

MUT will include new training tools that allow athletes to be upgraded. In addition, the mode will have a renewed focus on the single-player experience. Solo Challenges will feature a leaderboard reward system that allows players to compete against friends and earn rewards while still playing solo.

Former San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys star receiver Terrell Owners will grace the cover of the Hall of Fame Edition of Madden 19. If you pre-order this version of the game, you will get access to it three days before its release date along with a choice of one of five Elite Hall of Fame Legends and seven Gold Team packs for MUT.

Pre-order bonuses for the standard edition of Madden 19 include your choice of one Elite Player and five Gold Team packs for MUT.

EA Access members will be able to play Madden 19 on Xbox One beginning Aug. 2.

More information about the game is expected to be unveiled throughout the month of June and early July.
