Madden 16 Cover Vote Finalists Unveiled

EA Sports revealed the four NFL stars who are competing in a fan vote contest to appear on the cover of Madden NFL 16.
The four potential cover athletes are:
- Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants
- Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers
- Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots
- Patrick Peterson of the Arizona Cardinals
Rather than simply casting votes online, EA is calling for only Madden fans to participate in the voting contest. In order to vote for the cover athlete, gamers must log in to Madden Ultimate Team this week. Players will players will receive one Cover Vote Collectible just for logging in.
Additionally, Madden NFL Mobile players can earn votes by opening up the game. Players receive a Vote Collectible each day they log in. Completing live events in the game also nets players Vote Collectibles. This will unlock an 88 overall version of the player voted on. The player who wins the fan vote will receive a 99 overall rating.
The first round of voting will last until May 11 at midnight PT. Two finalists will be announced May 12, and the Madden NFL 16 cover athlete will be unveiled on Sportscenter on May 13.
Quick Take
The Madden cover vote is a yearly tradition, but this year’s contest is not as accessible. This is disappointing for more casual fans. Rather than open up the voting, EA is using this is an opportunity to draw in more players and get fans back into Madden.
