Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon Gets Multiplayer
Nintendo announced the upcoming 3DS game Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon will have multiplayer modes.
Luigi will be exploring multiple mansions in order to capture ghosts with his vacuum cleaner. The game will feature local and online multiplayer game modes in addition to Download Play capabilities.
Up to four people can play together in the SacreScraper. Players will work against the clock in Hunter Mode, tracking down ghosts using effective teamwork to clear the floor of the tower. Each player will take control of a different color version of the plumber-turned-ghost hunter. With each win, gamers can unlock special bonuses and upgrades.
Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is set to release on March 24 exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. It will cost $39.99. Users with a wireless broadband connection will be able to download the game on the Nintendo eShop on the same day.
Dark Moon is a sequel to the original Luigi’s Mansion game, which was released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2001. Despite a warm reception for the game, its status on the overlooked GameCube console made it an unknown gem.
The new 3DS version will feature more of the same ghost hunting and puzzle solving gameplay that made the original fun.
