Scheduled to hit shelves sometime this month, Logitech recently revealed their new G Lineup which will include a wireless gaming mouse and two new mousepads.
PC gamers everywhere should take note, Logitech intends to eliminate those moments that ruffle even the calmest gamer’s zen. Those moments between achieving a personal record score or finally beating That One Boss, but no, the mouse battery died. The G602 gaming mouse included in Logitech’s new line is capable of 250 hours of non-stop gameplay. Two modes will enable the G602 to switch between Performance Mode (shooting stuff and mining ore) and Endurance Mode (looking at…cat pictures). While Performance Mode will net the mouse a battery life of the aforementioned 250 hours, continuous use of the mouse for non-gaming equals 1400 hours of battery life for the G602. Other features of the mouse include a 20 million click life-span and eleven programmable controls. The G602 looks to retail for $79.99 USD.
Logitech’s new G Lineup will also include two new mousepads. The G440 Hard Gaming Mousepad was specially designed to complement the tracking and precision of Logitech G gaming mice using low-friction polypropylene. It’s sibling but not twin, the G240 Cloth Gaming Mousepad has a specially-treated cloth surface which helps generate the ideal amount of friction. The G440 and G240 will retail for $29.99 and $19.99 USD respectively.
Our two cents: Remember when a gaming mouse was one that had BOTH a left and right clicky-button and a rubber bouncy-ball underneath? No…we suddenly feel old.
