The collect-a-thon game from developer Playtonic Games is an obvious nod to famous Rare games of the past. In fact, many of the members of the development team who worked on Yooka-Laylee formerly worked on Banjo-Kazooie and other games at Rare.
Yooka-Laylee is essentially the spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie franchise. The game stars a duo of characters who must work together to collect all the Pagies in the land.
The game is now available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac and Linux. A version of the game for Nintendo Switch is also in the works and is expected to launch at a later date.
