Lenovo announced its latest flagship smartphone, the K900, and a new lineup of additional smartphones at International CES.

The premium smartphone has a super-slim profile and one of the best camera arrays available in its class. The K900 contains a 5.5-inch IPS screen and 6.9mm profile and runs on an Intel Atom processor.

In addition to being the thinnest phone in its class, the K900 only weighs 162g (5.7 ounces), making it easy to transport in a pocket or handbag. A stainless steel alloy and polycarbonate body ensure Lenovo’s smartphone is prepared for daily rigors while also maintaining a sleek look.

The rear camera is the perfect size for the smartphone and the K900 keeps its smooth finish as the camera layout does not protrude from the case.

The PCB and battery layout has gone through some minor changes to reduce the space used by internal components. It is topped off with a unique stripe ID language reinforcing the thin body and integrating external components.

[adsense250itp]Screen size is important for cell phone owners and the K900 keeps that in mind. For the smartphone, Lenovo is promising a 5.5-inch IPS display with full 1080p high-definition resolution performance at 400 pixels-per-inch, all under the latest, touch-capacitive Gorilla Glass 2.

Despite its small package, the K900 is very powerful and responsive. The smartphone centered on the forthcoming Intel Atom processor platform is very responsive, especially for functions such as web-browsing and application-loading. Intel has yet to release complete specifications for the new chipset.

Lenovo completely revamped the camera for the K900. The 13 megapixel camera ranks at the top of its class and combines with an industry-leading Sony Exmor BSI sensor for outstanding performance.

The K900 comes with an F1.8 focal length lens, making it the first smartphone to offer such a wide aperture on its camera. In addition to the improvements to the rear camera, the front camera has also been widened to an 88⁰ viewing angle.

The K900 smartphone will be available beginning in April in China and in select regional markets soon after. Pricing details have yet to be revealed.

Lenovo also announced a full lineup of new smartphones for any type of user. Five new models, including the S890, S720, P770, A800 and A690, will be available in China and other global markets this month with prices varying.

New S-series smartphones are designed with young, urban professionals in mind. Design and easy interaction with apps make S-series smartphones appeal to a younger audience. The P-series phone is intended for professionals due to the long battery life and anti-virus features. A-series models are aimed at providing smartphone functions at an affordable price. All of the phones feature dual-SIM slots, larger, higher resolution displays and enhanced specifications.
