LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes on Wii U available today.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer TT Games released LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes for the Wii U this week. This marks the ninth system that the title will be available on and now even more people can see what millions of fans have enjoyed.

This sequel to the first LEGO adaptation of the Dark Knight universe has been widely praised as one of 2012’s best family-friendly game. LEGO Batman 2 totaled more than 3.5 million units sold globally and is now available for Nintendo’s latest console. A recent winner of a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Award for Best Family Game makes the title a solid addition to the Wii U’s library.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes for the Wii U utilizes the console’s GamePad controller. The GamePad can be used by players to call forth a powerful team of heroes from the DC Universe to perform tasks during gameplay. An enhanced map is located on the touchscreen that allows for interactivity so gamers can manage current and upcoming objectives intuitively.

Additionally, the GamePad allows for off-TV mode giving players the ability to play the game on the touchscreen. Off-TV mode also has a smart use in multiplayer by allowing one player to manage action on the touchscreen while the other plays on the TV without having to deal with cumbersome split screens.
