Left 4 Dead 2 Characters to Appear in Resident Evil 6

Left 4 Dead 2 characters will be appearing in the upcoming PC version of Resident Evil 6 while enemies from Resident Evil 6 will invade Left 4 Dead 2 as part of the Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2 project, Capcom and Valve announced.

All content from the crossover project between the two industry giants will be available to players completely free of charge.

Gamers playing the PC version of Resident Evil 6 will be able to choose from one of four survivors from Left 4 Dead 2 during the PC exclusive game mode The Mercenaries No Mercy. Coach, Nick, Ellis and Rochelle will all be playable characters in the Resident Evil 6 game mode. Each character is equipped with a special customized weapon load-out specially created for the game. In addition, Special Infected zombies the Witch and Mini Tank will be enemies in the game mode. The free content will automatically be downloaded as an update to Resident Evil 6 beginning on April 5.

Valve developers used Steam Workshop tools to integrate some of the most feared enemies from Resident Evil 6 into the PC version of Left 4 Dead 2. Lepotitsa, Napad and Ogroman are all dropped into the world of Left 4 Dead 2. Although there is no official release date for the Left 4 Dead 2 side of the deal, it is expected to take place this Spring.

Resident Evil 6 released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in October. The PC version of Resident Evil 6 is scheduled to release on March 22. Left 4 Dead 2 launched onto consoles and Steam in 2009. Despite being several years old, the game remains immensely popular.
