Just Dance 2014

Just Dance 2014 is set to release Oct. 8 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and Wii U with a version for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 slated to be available around launch, Ubisoft announced.

Like the previous installments of the motion dance franchise, Just Dance 2014 will allow players to dance to Billboard hits and popular tracks.

The trailer also announced new features to be included in the game, such as the On Stage Mode and World Dance Floor mode. On Stage Mode allows one player to take the role of lead dancer while two other players perform as backup dancers. World Dance Floor mode is the first online multiplayer mode for the Just Dance franchise. Players can form crews and compete on different themes and track their stats via online leaderboards.

Just Dance 2014’s new Party Master mode is an upgrade to the previously existing Wii U exclusive Puppet Master Mode. The game mode lets players using the Wii U GamePad choose the next dance move, pick new songs and dish out challenges to the players performing dance moves.

Tracks confirmed to appear in Just Dance 2014 include Pound the Alarm by Nicki Minaj, Kiss You by One Direction, Gentleman by Psy, She Wolf (Falling to Pieces) by David Guetta and Trouble Maker by Olly Murs and Flo Rida.

The Just Dance series has sold more than 40 million copies to date and is the world’s top selling dance game franchise. Just Dance 4 was the fifth largest selling video game on all platforms worldwide. The series has won multiple Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards for Favorite Video Game and the Teen Choice Award for Choice Video Game.

Just Dance 2014 is set for release on Oct. 1 in EMEA, Oct. 4 in the U.K. and Oct. 8 in the United States. The game will also be available for the upcoming next-generation consoles at launch.
