Jackery Air

[adsense250itp]The Jackery Air, the world’s thinnest rechargeable battery for mobile devices, is available now on Amazon for $79.95, Jackery announced.

At about the size of an iPhone 5, the Jackery Air is a portable smartphone and mobile device charging solution perfect for traveling and use in places without power. Jackery built the charger using a custom manufacturing process in order to create a small device with a powerful battery and sleek aluminum case.

The Jackery Air is capable of fully charging an iPhone more than three times on a single charge. In total, it provides up to 100 hours of extra charge time with each charge. In more familiar terms, iPhone 5 owners using the Jackery Air can use the battery charger to get 40 hours of video-watching time and 160 hours of music-listening.

In addition, the Jackery Air features power-lock technology that allows the charger to hold a charge when not being used for up to six months. Users will be able to check how much power is left on the charger’s battery thanks to a three-color LED status indicator.

The 5000mAh device comes in at 5.5 ounces, slightly larger than the iPhone 5’s weight of 3.95 ounces and the Samsung Galaxy S4’s 4.6-ounce weight. It will take about six hours to fully charge the Jackery Air.

On the bottom of the device, users will find a USB port to connect to mobile devices and an input for connecting power to recharge the Jackery Air.

Jackery originally began the Jackery Air project with a Kickstarter aimed at reaching a goal of $30,000. The Kickstarter campaign ended in July after reaching more than $50,000.

Already with a line of mobile charging products, including the Jackery Mini, Jackery used past manufacturing experience to bring out the Jackery Air quickly after being funded on Kickstarter.

The Jackery Air is only available in bright orange at this time but more color options are expected to be available later this year.
