Infamous: Second Son Release Date Announced

/ Nov 15th, 2013 No Comments

inFAMOUS: Second Son

A new trailer for inFamous: Second Son was shown off by Sony which also revealed what the release date for the title would be. Second Son will launch exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on March 21, 2014.

During the PlayStation All Access launch event on Spike, Sucker Punch introduced a brand new trailer that showed off Neon, a previously unseen power of protagonist Delsin Rowe. Delsin is a conduit, a kind of super human capable of incredible power. And as far as conduits go, Delsin is quite unique because he is able to absorb the powers of his fellow conduits. So far, Delsin’s smoke powers have been the focus during Second Son’s gameplay. Neon is the first power that the player will absorb over the course of the game and with it comes abilities like precision “sniper” shots and running up walls.

Sucker Punch concluded the new peek at Second Son with a formal release date announcement. Many suspected that the game would release sometime in either February or March of 2014 and it looks like they won’t be let down. Second Son is one of many future PS4 exclusives (along with DriveClub and The Order: 1886) set to arrive next year.

inFamous: Secon Son will also be receiving the Limited and Collector’s Edition treatments. Players who pre-order either version will get exclusive DLC missions that bridge the gap between inFamous 2 and Second Son. A number of in-game items, like jackets for Delsin, and physical rewards, like stickers and a replica of Delsin’s beanie, round out the packages.
