Dennaton Games‘ hyper-violent Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is releasing on March 10.
[adsense250itp]The follow up to the critically acclaimed Hotline Miami will be available for PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita for $15.
Devolver Digital announced the title is available for pre-order through Steam, the Humble Store, and GOG at a ten percent discount. A digital special edition of the game is also available which includes a six-track remix EP featuring music from the game. Players who own Payday 2 and purchase a copy of Hotline Miami 2 will receive a character pack and exclusive masks.
Hotline Miami 2’s release date was teased earlier this month after the game’s official Twitter account posted a phone number players could call. A mysterious voice heavily alluded to the current release date though nothing was made official.
In the sequel, players take control of multiple characters who specialize in different weapons and play styles. These characters also have their own unique stories that tie into the events of the original. Hotline Miami 2 also features a level creator where Dennaton gives players all the tools they need to create custom levels or even a potential Hotline Miami 3.
Even though it has been delayed a few times, it’s hard not to be excited about Hotline Miami 2. The frantic, addictive gameplay remains relatively unchanged and fans likely expect nothing more. But new characters, a new story, and an incredible new soundtrack should be all anyone could want from Dennaton’s possible final entry in this bloody universe.
