Hellraid Announced by Techland

Hellraid is set to release some time this year for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, developer Techland announced.
The first-person, co-op hack-and-slash was previously announced in August under the title Project Hell.
Techland, the developer behind the zombie slasher Dead Island, was originally developing the game as a weapon mod for Dead Island before it took on a life of its own.
Hellraid features an advanced combat system complete with melee, ranged weapons and magical abilities. Attacks must be timed properly when striking enemies and countermoves will also be necessary.
To ensure each play-through provides a different experience, the game uses the Game Master system. The game engine will determine where loot is placed and enemies spawn while also generating unique online challenges.
The game will feature a story-driven solo campaign but Techland encourages gamers to play cooperatively. Up to four players can fight at a time, with a points system determining the winner. Each player can choose a different style of character, with options including a Warrior, Mage, Rogue and Paladin.
Additionally, Hellraid will feature tough boss battles, deep character development, online leaderboards and a little bit of magic.
The developer just launched the official site for Hellraid, which now contains the first screenshots and details for the game in addition to a behind-the-scenes blog run by the game’s developers.
Techland is also the developer of the Call of Juarez series. Last week, Ubisoft announced Call of Juarez: Gunslinger is set to release digitally on May 22.
