Halo Infinite is the next entry in Microsoft’s blockbuster Halo franchise, the company revealed at its E3 2018 press conference today.
The game was revealed with a trailer slow-panning across a number of different environments. As a slow tease and the kick-off for Microsoft’s conference, the Halo Infinite reveal trailer could have been any game. The trailer showed a group of soldiers walking around and then panned back.
Master Chief’s helmet appeared on screen being held by a figure clad in green armor that is likely to be Master Chief. The trailer concluded with a vehicle driving against a wooded background and ending with a look at the titular halo players have become familiar with over several entries of the game. Halo Infinite will be powered by the Slipstream Engine and developed by 343 Industries.
“We will join Master Chief on his greatest adventure yet to save humanity,” said Phil Spencer after the trailer concluded.
No release date was announced for Halo Infinite but it is likely going to arrive in 2019 at the earliest.
