Halo 4

With the release of Halo 4 just over a month away, there is still time to pre-order your copy and fight the Promethean enemy! The graphics, gameplay, multiplayer and added game modes speak for the game itself, but extras never hurt either. Major retailers are offering bonuses for those that wish to reserve, and here is a quick break down of those exclusives.

If you are dying for more Halo 4 information, be sure to read our Halo 4 Multiplayer Preview as well as our Preliminary Halo 4 Preview articles.

Amazon.com will offer a $10 instant Amazon video credit and an exclusive “Web” armor skin. Colors for the skin can be customized to the player’s liking. Best Buy is giving the exclusive Raptor Armor skin and Deadeye Helmet, both also customizable. If pre-ordering in-store, you will instantly receive a Halo 4 poster as well. And don’t worry if you reserve online; they will mail one to you! Walmart jumped on the coupon wagon with Amazon, giving away $4.99 in VUDU movie credits. A Circuit armor skin will also be given to those that pre-order with them.

For more on the Amazon pre-order deal, check out the Halo 4 Pre-Order Page at Amazon.

Gamestop has their own customizable armor skin called “Forest,” in which the colors can be changed. Some stores will also have Halo 4 bumper stickers to give instantly, while supplies last, of course. Last, but not least (and could possibly have the best deal), the Microsoft Online Store will give a whopping $25 coupon for a player’s next purchase and a customizable Pulse Armor skin.

If you haven’t reserved your copy of Halo 4 yet, there are the major retailers’ incentives for you! Of course, these are the standard editions of the Halo title, and some will offer the Halo 4 Limited Edition and Halo 4 Xbox 360 bundle pack. The Halo 4 Limited Edition will come in a steel book case and includes extras like three map packs, a 90 minute special edition of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, the live action series, armor customization and more! The bundle pack will be a completely customized 320 GB Xbox 360, standard edition of the game, two controllers, headset, and Xbox LIVE points for exclusive DLC. But that’s not to say that these editions aren’t sold out already! Both the Halo website and Gamestop have run out of pre-orders on these special editions of the game, so if you’re even thinking of getting one, get on your browsers and start searching! Halo 4 is one of the most anticipated titles in the fall for the Xbox 360, and is to be released on Nov. 6.

Halo 4 – can’t wait. Can’t believe it’s almost here. I already preordered but some of these deals look good but it all comes down to the gameplay right

Oh yes! Gameplay, story, and especially multi-player for Halo are quite important. :)

I already preorded the limited edition from EB Games Australia. I don’t know what you get there, but the game is all that’s really important, the skins and stuff are just icing on the cake.

Haha! So true, the extras make the game that much more awesome. But I know so many people that wanted the Limited Editions or Collector’s Editions for games prior and missed out because they hesitated on pre-ordering. Hopefully my article helps people to pre-order more often in the future!
