Halo 4 will be getting the Castle Map Pack on April 8, developer 343 Industries announced.
Players can purchase the downloadable content package for 800 Microsoft Points, or $9.99 in terms of real money. It is the third and final DLC pack included with the money-saving Halo 4 War Games Map Pack Season Pass.
Developed by Certain Affinity, in accordance with 343 Industries, the Castle Map Pack includes three new multiplayer maps and a new six-on-six playlist. It also features nine new achievements for a total of 250 Gamerscore.
Daybreak is a large asymmetrical map made up of two opposing UNSC bases. Players must split their team in groups to focus on attacking the enemy base while also defending their own. The map is full of heavy firearms, including a Rocket Launcher and Banshee.
Outcast is a circular map set in a desert environment. Controlling vehicles and their paths will be especially important on this map. The map features frequent Mantis vs. Wraith battles. Players who miss out on the vehicle action can find power weapons at their secondary bases.
Players of all styles will find a way to play through the Perdition map. While offering both vehicular combat and close-quarters action, the map also contains long sightlines for snipers.
Halo 4 released November 6, 2012 exclusively for Xbox 360. The massively popular first-person shooter is considered one of the best games of last year.
