GTA Online Has The Need, The Need For Speed

GTA Online now features a new Top Gun-themed flight school, complete with a variety of missions to test the player’s flight abilities.
Ten new solo missions will be available giving low-fly, formation and even maneuvering challenges just to name a few. The addition of new air vehicles (such as the Luxury Swift Helo along with a new flight-suit) will also provide new ways for players to explore and have fun in GTA Online.
New ground vehicles will also be included such as the Invetero Coquette Classic with expanded flight multiplayer missions, battles and parachute jumps. A variety of other new missions will be added to GTA Online and ensure new experiences for current, returning and new players.
The easily overlooked update is the increase in case payouts for harder missions, as well as bonuses for completing missions with other players. The icing on the cake is the dropping of “repeat mission reduced payouts,” which will now be reduced based on a timer instead of accumulated completions.
While the addition of fun in-game references and new missions do lend some excitement, ultimately players just want heists. The lack of promised heists has led many players to move on to other games, something Rockstar should care more about. Also with the upcoming release of Bungie’s Destiny, Rockstar needs to buckle down if they hope to maintain a strong player base in the coming months.
