Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Khyber Strike DLC Available Now

Ghost Recon: Future Solider Khyber Strike DLC

The Khyber Strike downloadable content package is out now for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Solider. The new content is available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC for $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points.

Khyber Strike DLC visits once peaceful areas in three new multiplayer maps, a new multiplayer game mode, a new Guerrilla co-op map, new achievements, and an increased level cap.

New maps featured in the DLC includes Switchback, a close-quarters map full of ancient buildings and narrow alleyways. Palace is centered around the courtyard of an ancient museum dedicated to showing the glories of the past. Transit takes place in a metro station in Moscow. In addition to the close range action, trains coming in and out of the station provide for danger around every corner.

Classic Team Deathmatch gets a makeover in the new multiplayer game mode Takeover. As in Team Deathmatch, points are scored by eliminating enemies. Teams can earn a points multiplier by taking control of the enemy’s objective. However, gamers must also make sure their objective is safe while taking out opposing players. Takeover adds an additional layer of strategy to the game as teams must make the difficult decision to split up in order to defend their objective and attempt to take the enemy’s at the same time or move as a single group to overwhelm the opposing team.

Village is the new map available for Guerrilla co-op. Up to four players can team up online or two players can collaborate via local split screen in Guerrilla mode. Something for every type of player can be found in the once peaceful village. It has been transformed into a battleground with long alleyways between buildings ideal for snipers. A central gas station provides for explosive shootouts.

The new content also includes new achievements and a level cap increase by ten.
