Gears of War: Judgment will get two new multiplayer maps and a bonus game mode on April 2 as part of free downloadable content sponsored by Maxim.

Players will be able to download the multiplayer maps Haven and Capitol along with the Execution game mode for the third-person shooter at no charge two weeks after the launch of the game.

Haven takes place in an ancient monastery in the frozen mountains of Azura. The circular layout of the map leads to fast-paced action. However, vantage points throughout the map allow players to pull off long shots with the Torquebow or Breechshot. Haven is best suited for Domination matches as rings are difficult to defend.

No information has been revealed on the other free multiplayer map, Capitol.

Maxim, the men’s magazine, is also bringing the Execution game mode to Gears of War: Judgment. Much like Team Deathmatch, players will have to defeat members of the opposing team. However, players will go into a “down but not out” state before they die. Unless hit by a one-shot weapon, players will be in a timed bleed out with a chance to be revived after the time is up. In order to kill an opponent, players must perform a famous Gears of War execution on them.

Gears of War: Judgment is set to release on March 19 exclusively for Xbox 360. Epic Games recently announced a Gears of War: Judgment VIP Season Pass will be available for 1600 Microsoft Points. The season pass will give players access to all bonus content for Gears of War: Judgment at a discount rate.
