Final Fantasy XIV

Square-Enix is celebrating the release of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’s patch 2.1 update with a free login weekend.

The free login weekend allows users who have purchased and registered FF XIV: A Realm Reborn but let their account slip into inactive a chance to login during the weekend to check out the changes made in patch 2.1. Between Jan. 11 and Jan. 13, anyone who has an inactive A Realm Reborn account can login into the game and try out some of the new adventures that patch 2.1, A Realm Awoken, adds to the game. The free login event starts at 12 a.m. PT on Jan. 11 and ends at 12 a.m. PT on Jan. 13.

A Realm Awoken adds a number of new adventures to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Patch 2.1 adds many level 50 main story quests and side story quests to the game as well as variable level side quests. Many Beast Tribe quests have also been added with the new patch. Additionally, A Realm Awoken adds many new dungeons, several extreme battles and many other changes to A Realm Reborn. The main draw of the new patch is the new 24-person raid The Labyrinth of the Ancients.

For those who have not started their adventure in Eorzea or who have taken some time off from the game, this free login weekend is an excellent chance to dig around some of the newly added, quests, dungeons and tweaks to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
