Free Courses Coming to Rory McIlroy PGA Tour

/ Jul 30th, 2015 No Comments

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour DLC

EA Sports announced two new courses will be available to download for Rory McIlroy PGA Tour for free.

On Aug. 11, players will be able to hit the links on TPC Scottsdale. This challenging desert course was originally available only to those who pre-ordered the game.

The other free course is also a recreation of a real-world golf club. East Lake Golf Club will be released toward the end of September. The Georgia course is the home of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup Tour Championship by Coca Cola.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour Free Courses

Free courses are coming to Rory McIlroy PGA Tour.

Players will be able to use both courses in Play Now, Tour Pro career and online modes.

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour shipped with 12 courses, eight based on real-life golf clubs and four fictional courses. EA Sports promised post-release support for the game, and this is the first effort at making good on that promise.

Quick Take

One of the biggest criticisms of Rory McIlroy PGA Tour was the lack of content. EA Sports is attempting to take care of that issue with post-release support, but one pre-order course and another new course through September doesn’t add enough value. EA will go a long way by adding Augusta National and other more famous courses.
