Former Uncharted creative director Amy Hennig has joined EA‘s Visceral Games.
[adsense250itp]Hennig’s departure from Naughty Dog in March was quite sudden, ending a 10 year stint with the company. Prior to the departure, she had been working on Uncharted PS4. The former writer and creative director of the Uncharted franchise will be joining Visceral Games to work on an upcoming Star Wars title.
There is potential for Hennig to assist in the making of other games, but Star Wars is the team’s priority at the moment. Steve Papoutsis, Vice-President and General Manager of Visceral Games, announced the addition of Amy with much excitement and optimism.
The Star Wars game still doesn’t have a confirmed title, leaving a lot of room for speculation. The most exciting possibility is a revival of Star Wars 1313. Fans were very disappointed when Disney bought the rights to Star Wars and ended production on the game. Reviving the series would make fans happy, and they would have an action-adventure guru helping to make the most of the game with Hennig.
Another possibility is that she could even assist in the development of the much anticipated Battlefront. This title is apparently being worked on by DICE, another EA subsidiary. Even with Amy joining the team at Visceral, it is possible that the EA network reaches out to her if they feel that she can assist them. But after the amazing story and cinematography in the Uncharted franchise, one can only be excited for what Hennig, with EA’s resources, can offer to the amazing universe of Star Wars.
