For Honor Season 6 arrives on May 17 and brings new content and updates on the heels of a free weekend open on all platforms.
Hero’s March, the title of the new season, introduces the Beachhead map for free. The map will be available in every multiplayer mode except Tribute. The Orochi and Peacekeeper hero classes are also receiving gameplay reworks which will be detailed before the launch of Season 6.
A new featured called Visual Collection is being added, allowing players to track cosmetic visuals in a separate menu. This way, players can apply cosmetics to any gear without the need to keep excess gear just to hang onto the cosmetic look. A seasonal event will also kick off Season Six, with details to come right before launch.
Ubisoft has been continuously supporting For Honor since a somewhat rocky launch period. Dedicated servers and an improved training mode are just some of the quality of life improvements that have made the game better in recent months. To give players a taste of For Honor, a free weekend, which began on May 3, is underway on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Ending May 7, players can dive into the campaign and every multiplayer mode in the standard edition of For Honor.
Current owners of For Honor can take part in the Warrior Training Program during the free weekend. By completing five matches with free weekend players, owners will get the revamped Champion Status for two weeks which grants more loot and XP bonuses.
Those who wish to continue their progress in For Honor after the free weekend will receive a 67 percent discount for any edition of the game until May 15. The season pass is also available at a 60 percent discount during the same time, granting immediate access to the previously released six hero classes.
