EA released a new trailer highlighting the additions to Ultimate Team in FIFA 21 on the official EA Sports FIFA account. While the core gameplay and modes within FIFA Ultimate Team mostly appear to be the same, there are some new ways to experience the game mode.
One of the more interesting additions is the ability to play FUT co-op. Players can team up with a friend online and experience difference game modes, including Division Rivals as duos, Squad Battles against AI opponents, and against others in FUT Friendlies House Rules. There will be special objectives for co-op play and a Squad Battles leaderboard.
FUT 21 will also include new events designed to encourage competition and collaboration. In Team Events, players choose a side and work to complete objectives that will unlock rewards and contribute to your side’s score. Community Events put the entire FUT community together on one team, and if special objectives are completed, all who participated will be rewarded.
Customization and personalization are key elements in FUT 21. Players will have more options to choose the style of their club, including kit designs from fashion designers and music artists. And now, your team can truly feel a home-field advantage with FUT Stadium. Players control the atmosphere in their stadium, choosing color schemes, club anthems, crowd chants, and even pyrotechnics and celebrations.
The trailer includes more details about the updates to FUT 21. FIFA 21 is set to release Oct. 6 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
