After teasing an announcement on Monday, EA Sports confirmed EA UFC 2 is currently in development. The first trailer for the game released to unveil the title, but not much is known beyond what is seen in the two-minute long trailer.
The EA UFC 2 trailer is mostly comprised of live-action footage from official UFC fights along with some behind the scenes video shot during the making of the game. The YouTube description of the “Vision” trailer says the game will feature “stunning character likeness and animations,” “an all new Knockout Physics System” and “authentic gameplay.”
A closer look at the trailer reveals potential menus and game modes. It appears EA’s signature Ultimate Team mode will be available in EA UFC 2, though details on how that will work are unclear.
EA Sports UFC 2 is expected to release spring 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The official EA UFC Twitter account teased that a full feature set list will be revealed this Friday. With star Ronda Rousey set to take on Holly Holm at UFC 193 this weekend, it would be a perfect opportunity for EA to announce full features for playable women fighters for the game.
