Real Racing 3

Real Racing 3

In 2009, developer Firemint brought us Real Racing, a racing game for iOS that received fantastic reviews. It was quickly dubbed one of the best racing games on mobile devices for its stunning graphics, smart AI and all round appeal. Recently, Firemint merged with IronMonkey; now sporting the name Firemonkeys and with EA backing them they have announced the next iteration in the series, Real Racing 3. Featuring all new licensed tracks and vehicles, Real Racing 3 is bringing back the authentic racing experience.

Gamers will be able to enjoy the stunning graphics while behind the wheel of some of their favorite vehicles from car manufacturers such as Porsche, Dodge and Audi.

For the first time in the series, Real Racing 3 will include some of the most well known tracks from around the world. Some of those tracks include the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Silverstone and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. To make sure players don’t feel alone out on the track, 21 other grid slots will be open so that 22 racers have the ability to speed around these new tracks at the same time.

As in past Real Racing games, a plethora of cars will be available to choose from as gamers embark on an extensive career mode. The campaign mode pits players against 5 bots with the goal of climbing up the ranks. Other options include online or local multiplayer, quick race and time trial. Players are also given the choice for control options with accelerometer or touch for steering, manual or automatic acceleration, and manual breaking.

Using the full power of mobile devices, Real Racing 3 should provide gamers with a brilliant racing environment in which to take on the race-day pressures on the most well known tracks in the world. Watching the announcement trailer, Real Racing 3 is looking to be the best looking and most realistic racing game on mobile devices to date.

No official release date for the game has been announced but it is expected to debut some time this year.
