E3 2013 – Gaming Illustrated’s Official Schedule

/ Jun 10th, 2013 No Comments

E3 2013 is going to kickoff on Monday with press conferences and then three days of exhibition at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Our site has been attending E3 since 2001 and this year will be our biggest coverage of the popular video game trade show event ever. We will have five writers at the show each day for all three days and will be attending the press conferences on Monday as well. Be sure to check in HOURLY right here at as we will be reporting live from the show. In addition, we will have a team of writers posting the latest announcements, so for all the latest news, be sure to stay right here. Note that we are sharing MOST of our appointments and because of NDAs signed we are only exposing what we are allowed to say. For more, you will have to come back after E3 for more exciting breaking news.

If you haven’t already be sure to check out our official E3 2013 preview.

Many of our readers are curious about the appointments that we keep, so we’re making it know who we will be meeting with at the show. Typically the day after we meet with a publisher or hardware manufacturer, we’ll have a write up posted to the site. In addition we’ll be conducting exclusive interviews with many of the top level executives and producers for the companies we meet with that you will not be able to read anywhere else. For all of this amazing exclusive E3 coverage, keep it right here at Gaming Illustrated and be sure to tell your friends as well!

Monday – Press Conferences

We’ll be attending press conferences for Sony, Mircosoft and Electronic Arts. It’ll be very interesting to see what Sony and Microsoft unveil now that they are basically getting a redo of their largely panned press conference reveals for the new systems. Microsoft has vowed to only talk games at E3, clearly a response to their over-hyped discussion about DVR and TV integration for the Xbox One. There’s fifteen exclusives to be seen as well for the Xbox One, but Sony will be revealing a ton of exclusives as well. Both should be really fruitful for getting more (and ideally more exciting) details for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.

Tuesday – At E3 2013

This is a jam packed day to say the least. Although the show kicks off at noon, we have quite a few things going on before that. Here’s what is on tap for our staff for the first day of the show…

  • Nintendo
  • Oblanc
  • Prime World
  • Activision
  • Indicade
  • Bethesda
  • Extra Life
  • Ubisoft

Clearly, our day is JAM PACKED with a ton of amazing appointments. We could rave about every single one of these folks and what we’re looking forward to seeing. You’ll just have to stay tuned on Tuesday and through the rest of the week for our report on all of these amazing companies.

Wednesday – Day 2 of E3 2013

The party does not certainly slow down for us on the second day of E3 in Los Angeles. Right off the bat we’re meeting for two hours with the folks from EA and from there have several other key appointments…

  • EA / EA Sports
  • Daedalic
  • ASTRO/Skullcandy
  • CD Projekt Red
  • Konami
  • Gioteck
  • Warner Bros
  • City Interactive
  • Secret Party

Pretty busy day we’re going to have to say the least.

Thursday – Final Day of E3 2013

The final day tends to be one where we like to roam and check things out as opposed to the usual mad scramble to the next appointment…

  • Deep Silver
  • Hauppauge
  • AMD
  • Square Enix
  • Polk Audio
  • Indiecade
  • Turtle Beach
  • PDP
  • Monoprice
  • Secret Meeting

The last appointment on our list is not officially attending E3 so we’re not sure if we can reveal that we have an appointment or not. I’ll just say they are big time publisher and we’re really looking forward to seeing them in person.
